    3) “Calculations show that we have enough time to build a special purpose spacecraft that would help prevent the collision,” said Mr.Perminov
    4) “We have information about no more than 1 percent of dangerous space objects. Mankind is just waking up to this problem,” said Dr.Boris Shustov, Russian Astronomy Institute.
    5) Russian experts have proposed sending a “space tow” that would gradually deflect a dangerous asteroid by circling around it
    6) A more fantastic idea being discussed is to place engines on an asteroid to change its orbit
    7) Such soft deflection options would only be available if the threat of collision is years away, said Dr.Shustov.
    8) “If the danger is imminent, man would have to use nuclear weapons to smash the asteroid, which could have dangerous consequences for the Earth,” admits Mr.Perminov.

This is a story of a Japanese girl who outsmarted robbers.
Hana and her parents lived in a town near Tokyo. She likes to read a lot of stories especially those related to adventure. Whenever she read an adventure story, she would imagine herself in the shoes of the main character. On day at 3 o’clock in the morning, her mother received a frantic phone call from her aunt’s neighbour who lived in the nearby village. The aunt had suffered a massive cardiac arrest. Hana’s mother was the only family for the aunt and she could not leave the aunt alone. She decided to take Hana along as she was too young to be alone in the house. But Hana had an exam that day and could not go with her mom. Hana’s father was away on an official trip and was expected to return the next day. There was no one to take care of Hana in her mother’s absence. And, it was raining heavily. Hana’s mother was perplexed. But being an adventure-lover, Hana assured her mother that she will be fine. She also reminded her mom that the school bus would pick her up at 8 o’clock. She convinced her mom to leave for her aunt’s village. Before leaving, Hana’s mother instructed Hana to be careful as there were many incidents of robbery in that area. At first, Hana was excited to stay alone. She lay on her bed waiting for the daybreak. But slowly she started to feel scared as she saw the dark sky out of her window. She was about to rise from her bed and turn on the lights when she heard some whispers in the bedroom next to her room. She quickly understood that they could be robbers. She immediately thought of a plan, picked up the phone and spoke loudly, “Don’t worry! Iam safe here. Nobody will know that we have kept the money in the kitchen store room. You take care of yourself, Bye.” A few minutes later, she heard feeble footsteps towards the storeroom. She peeped out of her room and saw two men going inside the storeroom. She tiptoed to that room and bolted the door from outside. She immediately called the police and woke her neighbours. The neighbours gathered near Hana and comforted her. Within minutes, the police arrived and nabbed the robbers. When the news spread, everyone appreciated Hana for her presence of mind and the valour with which she handled a rather uncommon situation.
